Mohammed al-Bashir has been appointed as the transitional prime minister of Syria following the collapse of Bashar al-Assad's regime. Al-Bashir, who previously led the HTS-linked Syrian Salvation Government in Idlib, will oversee the transitional government until March 1, 2025. Al-Bashir, born in Idlib in 1983, holds a degree in electrical engineering from Aleppo University and has been involved in governance in Idlib for several years.
