The prosecutors assert that the conviction should stand despite the immunity ruling, emphasizing that the acts in question were unofficial and not protected by presidential immunity. The court papers made public on Thursday underscore the prosecutors' stance that the verdict, reached by a unanimous jury, remains valid. DA Bragg's 69-page brief also highlights that if Judge Merchan rules the convictions stand, Trump will be sentenced on September 18.
