Fulham Beats Chelsea 2-1 with Muniz's 95th-Minute Goal, Ending 45-Year Stamford Bridge Drought
Dec 26, 2024, 04:19 PM
Fulham achieved a historic 2-1 comeback victory against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, marking their first-ever Premier League away win at the venue and their first win there in 45 years. Under manager Enzo Maresca, Chelsea's Cole Palmer opened the scoring in the 16th minute, bringing his season tally to 12 goals and 6 assists in 18 Premier League appearances, setting a new club record for most league goals in a calendar year with 26, surpassing Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's 2001 record. Despite leading for most of the match, Chelsea conceded two late goals. Harry Wilson equalized in the 82nd minute, and Brazilian forward Rodrigo Muniz, coming off the bench, scored a stoppage-time winner in the 95th minute.
