Thiruvengadam, Accused in BSP Leader K. Armstrong's Murder, Killed in Police Encounter in Vegetarian Nagar, Chennai

Thiruvengadam, one of the 11 accused in the murder of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Tamil Nadu chief K. Armstrong, was killed in a police encounter in Madhavaram, Chennai. The incident occurred on the night of July 13th and continued into the early hours of July 14th. Thiruvengadam was taken to a location in north Chennai as part of the investigation and was shot after he allegedly attacked the police. The encounter, which took place in Vegetarian Nagar, was confirmed by the Additional Commissioner of Police, Chennai North, Narendra Nair. The Puzhal Police were involved in the operation.
