BSP Tamil Nadu President K Armstrong Murdered by Six Men in Chennai; Eight Suspects Arrested

K Armstrong, the Tamil Nadu president of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), was murdered by a gang of six bike-borne men near his residence in Perambur, Chennai. The incident occurred as Armstrong was entering his house. Following his death, BSP workers and supporters have launched protests, blocking roads and demanding the immediate arrest of the perpetrators. The police have formed ten special teams and have so far arrested eight suspects. Armstrong's body is currently at Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital for autopsy. BSP chief Mayawati has condemned the murder, called for swift justice, and is expected to visit Chennai. Armstrong, an advocate and a prominent Dalit leader, was known for his strong voice in the state.
