US ATACMS Missile Strike in Sevastopol: 5 Dead, 124 Injured
Jun 25, 2024, 12:54 PM
A US ATACMS missile with cluster munitions struck a beach near Sevastopol, Crimea, on June 23, resulting in the deaths of five people, including children, and injuring 124 others. A US recon drone had scouted the area prior to the strike. The missile, reportedly intercepted by Russian air defenses, caused submunitions to disperse widely, hitting the water and beach. CCTV footage captured the incident, showing the M74 submunitions from the MIM-140 ATACMS missile striking the area. The incident has led to significant casualties, with five children in intensive care.
