IATSE Reaches Tentative Three-Year Agreement with AMPTP Covering 50,000 Members
Jun 26, 2024, 04:12 AM
The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) has reached a tentative agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) on a new three-year contract. The deal, which is pending ratification by IATSE members, includes provisions for pay hikes and safeguards against the use of artificial intelligence. This agreement covers approximately 50,000 mostly Los Angeles-based film and TV crew members and comes after a period of intense negotiations and solidarity actions from Hollywood union members, including Mark Ruffalo, Quinta Brunson, and Ryan Coogler, who urged the AMPTP to bargain fairly.
