Demi Moore Wins Best Actress Golden Globe for 'The Substance'

Demi Moore won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her role in 'The Substance' at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, marking her first Golden Globe win in her 45-year acting career. The award was considered a surprise win. In her acceptance speech, Moore said, 'I've been doing this for 45 years and this is the first time I've ever won anything as an actor.' She added, 'Today I celebrate this as a marker of my wholeness and of the love that is driving me, and for the gift of doing something I love, and being reminded that I do belong.' Earlier in the evening, Moore and her co-star Margaret Qualley recreated a scene from the film on stage, including the line, 'What are you doing here? It's my week! You have to respect the balance.'
