Kamala Harris Campaign Aides Admit to HuffPost: Internal Polling Never Showed Her Leading Trump
Nov 26, 2024, 11:17 PM
Senior aides to Kamala Harris's presidential campaign have admitted to HuffPost that internal polling never showed her ahead of Donald Trump, despite the campaign's public portrayal of competitiveness. The campaign, which reportedly cost over a billion dollars, faced insurmountable challenges according to David Plouffe, a senior adviser, who said, 'We were hopeful. I don’t know how optimistic we were, but we thought, OK, this is tied, and if a couple things break our way [we could win].' The revelation suggests that the campaign's portrayal of its competitive standing was not supported by its own metrics, leading to questions about the campaign's strategy and public messaging, with some aides suggesting Democrats were relying on fraud.
