ASI Submits 2,000-Page Report on Bhojshala Complex to Indore High Court
Jul 15, 2024, 06:48 AM
The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has submitted a comprehensive 2,000-page report to the Indore High Court regarding the disputed Bhojshala Temple cum Kamal Maula Mosque Complex in Dhar. The report, which is the result of a 98-day survey, reveals that the existing structure is built from parts of temples and contains mutilated Vishnu sculptures and temple remains from the Parmara dynasty era. Additionally, the report highlights the presence of a painting of Trishul and 37 Hindu idols, including a Vagdevi murti. The core issue before the High Court is to determine whether the complex retains the religious character of a Hindu building. The High Court is scheduled to hear the matter on July 22.
