Turkey's defense and aerospace industry achieved a record-breaking export value of $7.154 billion in 2024, marking a 29% increase from the previous year. This figure, which includes NATO and service exports, surpassed the country's target of $6.5 billion for the year. The announcement was made by Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, President of the Defense Industry Agency (SSB), highlighting the significant growth in the sector. The increase in exports has been driven by advancements in Turkish aerospace and drone manufacturing, as well as naval development, and bolstered by NATO deals.
