ASELSAN Unveils KORKUT Air Defense System with New Camouflage and Technical Specs Including 1,100 Rounds/Min Firing Rate

ASELSAN's KORKUT Air Defense System has been unveiled with a new camouflage design, marking its first public appearance in this updated form. The KORKUT system, which is utilized by Turkish forces, has been adapted to better blend into its environment, particularly in northern Iraq where it serves as a protective measure for troops. Technical specifications of the KORKUT system include a dual 35mm barrel, a minimum firing rate of 1,100 rounds per minute, and an effective range of 2.5 kilometers for missiles, 5 kilometers for ground targets, and a maximum range of 12.5 kilometers. The new camouflage is part of ASELSAN's ongoing efforts to enhance the operational effectiveness of its air defense capabilities.
