China has reaffirmed its commitment to restoring stability in Haiti through international cooperation. The Chinese government supported the United Nations Security Council's adoption of Resolution 2743, which extends the mandate of the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH). Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian emphasized China's readiness to continue working with the international community to address issues in Haiti. Haiti has expressed appreciation for China's support and intends to maintain communication with China. This development comes as the UN and other international bodies, including UNICEF and ECHO, emphasize the need for peace in Haiti. Edem Wosornu of UNOCHA highlighted that 'What Haitians want the most is peace' during a visit to the country.
