Dec 9, 2024, 03:36 AM
At least 110 people were killed over the weekend in Haiti's capital, Port-au-Prince, specifically in the Cite Soleil slum, according to the National Human Rights Defense Network. The massacre was ordered by gang leader Monel 'Mikano' Felix, who leads the Viv Ansanm gang. Felix targeted elderly residents, many over 60 years old, whom he suspected of practicing witchcraft and causing his child's illness. The victims, accused of being Voodoo practitioners, were reportedly killed with knives.
