Meta has announced that it will allow third-party apps to place calls to WhatsApp and Messenger users. This change will enable users in Europe to connect with friends on third-party messaging apps, following recent regulatory changes. WhatsApp and Messenger users will have the option to choose which third-party apps they want to receive messages from and can view all their messages in combined or separate inboxes. Additionally, WhatsApp is focusing on AI as the next frontier for enhancing the app for businesses and users in India. Illustration: The Verge.
