President Biden's PACT Act Processes Over 1 Million Claims in Two Years, Expands Veterans' Benefits
May 21, 2024, 03:15 PM
The PACT Act, signed into law by President Biden two years ago, has successfully processed over 1 million claims, providing critical healthcare benefits to veterans exposed to toxic substances such as burn pits and Agent Orange. This landmark legislation, considered the largest expansion of veterans' benefits in 30 years, ensures that veterans receive the care and support they deserve. The White House announced that more than 880,000 veterans are currently receiving disability benefits through the PACT Act across all 50 states. The bipartisan effort has been widely supported by lawmakers, including House Democrats, Rep. Jeffries, Rep. Mark Takano, Rep. Davids, and Rep. Diana DeGette, who played key roles in its passage. The act has been hailed as a significant achievement in honoring the nation's promise to its veterans, with many more claims expected to be processed in the future.
