OpenAI Launches GPT-4o Canvas in Beta for Enhanced Writing and Coding Collaboration
Oct 3, 2024, 07:18 PM
OpenAI has launched a new interface for ChatGPT called Canvas, aimed at enhancing collaboration on writing and coding projects. The Canvas interface, available with GPT-4o, allows users to edit code inline, review and fix bugs, add logs and comments, and port code to different languages. It also offers features for editing text, such as adjusting length, changing reading levels, and providing targeted suggestions. Canvas opens a separate window beside the normal chat window. The new interface is available in beta for ChatGPT Plus and Team users, with plans to roll it out to other subscription tiers soon. This release is seen as a significant update to ChatGPT, positioning it as a more integrated tool for human-AI collaboration and challenging Claude Artifacts by Anthropic.
