Erdogan Calls for Eradication of ISIS and Kurdish Groups in Syria, Hakan Fidan to Visit Region

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that it is time to eradicate the Islamic State (ISIS) and Kurdish groups he labels as terrorist organizations in Syria. During remarks made while returning from a trip to Egypt, Erdogan emphasized the need to neutralize these threats to ensure Syria's stability. He stated that the PKK and its affiliates have reached the end of their operational lifespan and that a secure environment in Syria will hinder the recruitment of militants by these groups. Erdogan also expressed support for the Syrian people in determining their future and indicated that Turkey will assist in developing their state structure. He mentioned that Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is set to visit the region to collaborate on these efforts.
