This funding will support the deployment of over 9,200 EV charging ports across 29 states, two Federally Recognized Tribes, and the District of Columbia. The initiative aims to enhance the accessibility of EV charging infrastructure, particularly in election swing states and rural tribal communities. The investment is part of a broader effort that has already doubled the number of EV charging stations in the U.S. since 2021. Approximately $321 million of the total funding is allocated for 41 specific projects, with an average cost of $56,630 per charging port.
