US to Achieve One EV Charger for Every 10 Gas Stations in 2024; China Reports 11.43 Million Charging Piles, Up 49.6%
Nov 4, 2024, 02:00 AM
The United States is set to achieve a significant milestone in electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, with projections indicating that there will be one car charger for every 10 gas stations by the end of 2024. This development follows a substantial increase in charging infrastructure across the country, particularly from Michigan to Florida, during the third quarter of the year. In contrast, China has reported that the number of EV charging piles has reached 11.43 million as of September 2024, reflecting a 49.6 percent increase compared to the previous year. With a total of 28.09 million registered new energy vehicles in China, this translates to one charging pile for every 2.46 vehicles, highlighting the rapid expansion of EV infrastructure in both nations.
