Uber Technologies has appointed Rebecca Tinucci, a former Tesla executive, as the Global Head of Sustainability. Tinucci, who previously led Tesla's supercharging team, will oversee Uber's transition to electric vehicles (EVs). This strategic hire is part of Uber's broader initiative to electrify its fleet by 2040. The company has committed to investing $800 million through 2025 to support this transition. Tinucci will begin her role on September 16.
