Overnight, massive explosions have been reported at the Morozovsk Air Base in Rostov Oblast, Russia, following a series of Ukrainian drone strikes. The airbase, which houses the Russian 559th Bomber Aviation Regiment operating Su-34 fighter jets, is a significant military site. Reports indicate that an ammunition depot or fuel tank may have been struck, causing a significant fire. The explosions were heard from as far away as Sibir'ki, and footage from the Morozovsky district shows the extent of the damage. Local residents have reported the attack, but there is no official confirmation yet. The airbase is located about 165 miles from Rostov-on-Don and approximately 270km from the frontline. Governor of the region has yet to comment.
