Thousands Rally in Tel Aviv for Ceasefire, Hostage Release, and Netanyahu's Resignation
Sep 21, 2024, 07:05 PM
Thousands of Israelis gathered in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem to demand an immediate ceasefire and a prisoner-exchange deal with Palestinian resistance. The protests, which saw hundreds of thousands on the streets, also called for the release of hostages, including Oded Lifshitz. Demonstrators expressed dissatisfaction with the Netanyahu government, demanding its resignation and an end to the war in the Gaza Strip. Israeli police dispersed some of the protests, which blocked traffic on several highways and set fires in the middle of the streets. Protests were also noted on Begin Street on Saturday night.
