UK CMA Accepts Google's Commitments to Address Chrome Cookie and Ad-Privacy Plan Concerns

The UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has accepted commitments from Alphabet's Google to address concerns regarding the proposal to remove third-party cookies and other functionalities from the Chrome browser. Despite these commitments, the CMA has indicated that concerns remain over Google's ad-privacy plan. The CMA will continue to work with Google to address these competition concerns, which have been triggered by Google's revised ad targeting plan. The UK CMA announced this on September 24.
