The UK government has urged all British nationals to leave Lebanon immediately due to escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah. Around 700 British troops are being deployed to Cyprus to assist in potential evacuation efforts. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating, 'Now is the time to leave.' Approximately 10,000 British nationals are currently in Lebanon. Defence Secretary John Healey has also urged Britons to leave the crisis-torn country now. The Ministry of Defence is implementing contingency plans as fears of an all-out war between Israel and Hezbollah grow.
