The film will have an exclusive two-week run in IMAX within a 4-week window of global exclusivity before debuting on Netflix on Christmas Day 2026. This big-budget film marks a significant shift for Netflix, which typically avoids extensive theatrical releases. The deal was negotiated between Netflix's chief content officer Bela Bajaria, IMAX CEO Rich Gelfond, and Gerwig's team.
