Oct 21, 2024, 08:01 AM
Israel is set to receive $5.2 billion in emergency aid from the United States to bolster its air defense capabilities. The aid will be used to enhance the Iron Dome, David's Sling, and a laser system currently under development, amid preparations for a fierce battle with Iran. This funding comes in addition to Israel's existing $19 billion defense budget and $3.3 billion in annual U.S. military aid. The Israeli Defense Ministry has completed an exchange of letters with the Pentagon to implement this special assistance.
