Thailand Expands Visa-Free Status to 93 Nations with 60-Day Exemption and New DTV
Jul 15, 2024, 06:00 AM
Thailand has expanded its visa-free status to 93 nations in a bid to boost tourism. Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin announced that the country will soon grant a 60-day visa exemption to nationals from these countries and territories. The measure is expected to be signed today. The Thai government believes that boosting tourism is the fastest way to increase income. Additionally, the new Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) has been introduced to allow long-term stays and remote work without the usual immigration and tax concerns. MOFA Taiwan welcomed the Thai government's extension of visa-free privileges.
