Dolphins' Grant DuBose Hospitalized After Helmet-to-Helmet Hit, Shows Positive Signs
Dec 15, 2024, 10:32 PM
During the Miami Dolphins' game against the Houston Texans on Sunday, wide receiver Grant DuBose was involved in a terrifying incident. In the third quarter, DuBose attempted to catch a pass from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa when he was struck in the head by Texans safety Calen Bullock, leading to a helmet-to-helmet collision. This resulted in a significant delay as medical personnel attended to DuBose on the field for over 10 minutes. His jersey was cut off, his facemask removed, and he was placed in a neck brace before being carted off the field on a stretcher. DuBose was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston for evaluation of a head injury. The Dolphins provided an update the following morning, stating that DuBose remained in the hospital overnight for observation. Initial tests showed positive results, and he has movement in all extremities. The incident was described as 'very unfortunate' by Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who expressed regret for potentially putting DuBose in that situation with his pass placement.
