Sudanese President Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, who is also the head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, survived an assassination attempt early on Wednesday morning. The attempt involved a drone strike targeting an eastern Sudanese army base during his visit. No group, including the Rapid Support Forces, has claimed responsibility for the attack.
