Kolkata Doctor Murder: Sanjay Roy Sent to 14-Day Custody by Sealdah Court, Polygraph Test Approved

In the ongoing investigation into the rape and murder of a doctor at RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata, the main accused, Sanjay Roy, has been sent to 14 days of judicial custody by a Sealdah court. Roy, who was arrested on August 10, has also been granted a one-day custody to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for further questioning. The court has approved a polygraph test for Roy, as the CBI continues its probe into the case. Former principal of RG Kar Medical College, Sandip Ghosh, is also facing legal troubles with allegations of corruption and financial irregularities, and a polygraph test has been approved for him as well. A total of 42 individuals have recorded statements in connection with this case, with seven subjected to polygraph tests.
