NYC Correction Officer Indicted for Rape After Luring Victim with TV Audition
Aug 26, 2024, 08:40 PM
Anthony Martin, a New York City correction officer, has been indicted by a grand jury and arraigned on charges of first-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse, and other crimes. The charges stem from an incident in March where Martin allegedly lured a 20-year-old woman to his Springfield Gardens home under the pretense of auditioning her for a television drama. The Queens District Attorney's office stated that Martin posed as a TV producer to perpetrate the crime. This case adds to previous allegations against Martin, who is accused of sexually assaulting at least two women while they were detained in a women's jail.
