Late Mohamed Al Fayed Accused of Rape by More Than 20 Former Harrods Staff
Sep 19, 2024, 07:01 AM
Mohamed Al Fayed, the late former boss of Harrods and Egyptian billionaire, has been accused of rape and sexual assault by multiple women who worked at the luxury London department store. Five women have specifically reported being raped by Al Fayed during their employment at Harrods. The allegations include claims that Al Fayed would tour the department store’s sales floors to identify young female assistants he found attractive. Despite these serious accusations, no justice can come of it since Al Fayed passed away last year. The BBC has spoken to some of the alleged victims, who have shared their traumatic experiences. More than 20 women have accused Al Fayed of sexual assault.
