VisitEgyptian Billionaire Mohamed Al Fayed Accused of Rape by Five Former Harrods Employees
Sep 19, 2024, 08:11 AM
Mohamed Al Fayed, the late Egyptian billionaire and former owner of Harrods, has been accused of rape and sexual assault by multiple women who worked at the luxury London department store. According to a BBC exposé, more than 20 former employees have come forward with allegations, with five women specifically accusing Al Fayed of rape. The accusations include claims that Al Fayed would tour the sales floors to identify young female assistants he found attractive. These allegations have surfaced posthumously, as Al Fayed passed away last year. Al Fayed owned Harrods for more than 25 years. One of the accusers, Gemma, spoke about the impact of what happened to her.
