Astronomers have, for the first time, captured detailed images of a star other than the Sun, allowing them to track the motion of moving bubbles of gas on its surface. The star, R Doradus, located 178 light years away, was observed using the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA).
