Jan 16, 2025, 12:18 PM
Anduril Industries Inc., valued at $14 billion, has announced plans to establish a new hyperscale manufacturing facility named Arsenal-1 in Columbus, Ohio. The facility will occupy a 5-acre site and aims to produce tens of thousands of autonomous systems and weapons annually, including aerial and maritime drones, sensors, and other products. The company plans to invest nearly $1 billion in the project, which is expected to create over 4,000 jobs, marking it as the largest single job-creation project in Ohio's history. The factory will span five million square feet at full scale and is strategically located near the Rickenbacker International Airport, providing access to two runways. Construction is set to start immediately, with production targeted to begin by mid-2026.
