Noah Lyles secured his place at the Paris 2024 Olympics by winning the men's 100-meter final at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials in Eugene, Oregon. Lyles matched his personal best with a time of 9.83 seconds, finishing ahead of Kenny Bednarek, who clocked 9.87 seconds, and Fred Kerley, who finished in 9.88 seconds. This victory marks Lyles' second time qualifying for the Olympic Games. Christian Coleman, despite a strong start, did not qualify for the Olympics, finishing outside the top three. Courtney Lindsey, a Texas Tech senior, finished sixth in the final with a time of 10.02 seconds.
