On December 24, 2024, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva signed two provisional measures releasing a total of R$ 6.7 billion to support recovery efforts in areas affected by recent climate disasters. Additionally, R$ 233 million will be directed towards the Amazon and Pantanal regions, which have suffered from drought conditions.
