Butantan Requests Anvisa Approval for Butantan-DV, World's First Single-Dose Dengue Vaccine by 2025

The Butantan Institute has formally requested the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (Anvisa) to approve the world's first single-dose vaccine against dengue. This vaccine, known as Butantan-DV, aims to enhance immunization efforts, particularly as the Health Ministry plans to introduce dengue vaccination in schools by 2025. The subsecretary of Health Surveillance emphasized the goal of increasing vaccination coverage against dengue in the coming years.
