North Korea's Kim Jong Un Announces 'Toughest' Strategy Against U.S., Citing Nuclear Military Bloc
Dec 29, 2024, 03:44 AM
North Korea has announced a 'toughest' strategy against the United States at a key party meeting of the Workers' Party of Korea, held from December 23 to 27, according to state media KCNA. The strategy is aimed at countering the U.S. for North Korea's security and national interests. Leader Kim Jong Un, who presided over the meeting, criticized the U.S., labeling it as the 'most reactionary state' and accused the U.S., South Korea, and Japan of forming an 'aggressive nuclear military bloc.' Kim also called for the continuous enhancement of the North Korean army's warfare capabilities and the development of defense science and technology to bolster war deterrence. During the session, Pak Thae-song was appointed as the new premier, replacing Kim Tok-hun, and Choe Son-hui was named to the party's politburo.
