A bridge collapsed in northern Vietnam on Monday, causing multiple vehicles to plunge into the Red River. The incident occurred in Phu Tho Province as a result of heavy rains and flooding from Typhoon Yagi. At least 59 people have died due to the storm, and 13 individuals are reported missing. The collapse of the Phong Chau Bridge led to at least 10 vehicles and two motorbikes falling into the river. A bus carrying 20 people was also swept away. Rescue efforts are being hindered by fast currents, and the situation remains critical as authorities continue to search for the missing individuals. State media reported that storm deaths continue to rise.
