Elon Musk: Tesla to Upgrade HW3 FSD Customers to HW4 for Free After Q3 Call

Elon Musk announced that Tesla's Hardware 3 (HW3) may not achieve the necessary safety level for unsupervised Full Self-Driving (FSD). If this happens, Tesla will upgrade all HW3 FSD customers to the newer Hardware 4 (HW4) for free. This statement was made during Tesla's Q3 earnings call. The HW4, also referred to as AI4, offers significant improvements over HW3, including a resolution of 2896x1876 and higher performance.
