Additionally, Tusk has launched efforts to manage the beaver population, which he cited as a factor in the flooding. A report from Reuters indicates that climate change has doubled the likelihood of such extreme weather events in Central Europe, emphasizing the need for urgent action to combat global warming. The flooding, which began on September 21, has resulted in the deaths of 24 people.
