Firefighters Battle 121-Acre Point Fire Near Lake Sonoma, 15% Contained, Evacuation Orders Issued

Firefighters are battling the Point Fire near Lake Sonoma in Sonoma County, California. The fire has grown to 121 acres and is 15% contained. Evacuation orders have been issued for residents on West Dry Creek Road and nearby areas, including Fall Creek Road and Stewarts Point-Skaggs Springs Road. Additional air and ground resources have been ordered to combat the fire, which is spreading towards the south with a moderate rate of spread. The fire has also resulted in unhealthy air quality in Sonoma County. CAL FIRE is on the scene with air attack units, and an evacuation warning is in place for Zone SON-2E2.
