VisitGold Apollo Denies Making AR-924 Pagers Used in Lebanon and Syria Explosions, Points to Hungary
Sep 18, 2024, 08:53 AM
Taiwanese company Gold Apollo has denied manufacturing the AR-924 pagers that exploded in Lebanon and Syria on Tuesday, stating that the devices were made by BAC Consulting KFT, a company based in Budapest, Hungary. The pagers, which carried the Gold Apollo brand, were involved in simultaneous detonations targeting Hezbollah's communications network. Gold Apollo's founder, Hsu Ching-Kuang, emphasized that the production of these devices had been outsourced to the Hungarian firm, which was licensed to use Gold Apollo's brand. The explosions resulted in multiple casualties, including at least twelve deaths and thousands of injuries.
