Russia has affirmed that its cooperation with North Korea, including military collaboration, does not threaten South Korea's security interests. Russian Ambassador Georgy Zinoviev stated that the cooperation is within the framework of international law and is not aimed at undermining South Korea's security. This statement comes amid concerns from the Indo-Pacific allies of the US regarding Russia's support for North Korea's space and nuclear programs. The cooperation is also under the UNSC umbrella, according to the Russian envoy and RIA.
