North Korea Boosts KN-23 and Hwasong-11 Missile Production for Russia's Ukraine Conflict
Nov 25, 2024, 12:48 PM
North Korea is expanding its missile production capabilities at the February 11 Plant in Hamhung, focusing on the KN-23 short-range ballistic missiles, which are reportedly being used by Russia in its conflict with Ukraine. Satellite imagery from October reveals new construction at the facility, including assembly buildings and worker housing. The expansion includes the Ryongsong Machinery Complex, where new facilities are under construction to boost the production of Hwasong-11 missiles, similar to the KN-23. This development is based on analysis by researchers at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS) and reported by Reuters.
