IDF Eliminates Hezbollah Commander Khider al-Shaebia, Responsible for July Attack That Killed 12 Druze Children

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced that they have eliminated Hezbollah commander Khider al-Shaebia, who was responsible for the July 27, 2024 attack in Majdal Shams that killed 12 Druze children. Acting on intelligence, Israeli Air Force aircraft conducted an airstrike in southern Lebanon on Wednesday, killing al-Shaebia, who commanded the Har Dov area within the Hezbollah organization. The attack in Majdal Shams involved a rocket with 53 kg of explosives fired into northern Israel, resulting in the deaths of 12 Druze children. Al-Shaebia was also responsible for hundreds of attacks along the Israel-Lebanon border.
