Apr 19, 2024, 12:14 PM
The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) has established a new information support force, which was formally inaugurated in a ceremony in Beijing on Friday. During the event, Chinese President Xi Jinping presented a flag to the force, symbolizing its official activation, and stressed the importance of solid efforts to build a strong and modernized information support force. The Information Support Troops will be directly led and commanded by the Central Military Commission, following the decision to revoke the designation of the Strategic Support Troops. This restructuring also includes adjustments to the leadership and management of military space and cyberspace forces.
