The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) has officially established a new branch, the Information Support Force, aimed at enhancing its capabilities in network information systems. During the establishment ceremony in Beijing on Friday, Chinese President Xi Jinping presented a flag to the force, symbolizing its activation. The Information Support Force will be directly led and commanded by the Central Military Commission, following the dissolution of the Strategic Support Troops, which was terminated to focus on the new force.
